1. In a large bowl beat milk, pudding mix, and vanilla with wire whisk for 1 minute. (The mixture will be thick.) Whisk in whipped topping.
2. Spread one-third of the pudding mixture in the crust. Slice bananas on top of the pudding mixture in the crust. Carefully spread the remaining pudding mixture over the bananas.
3. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until set. Drizzle with chocolate ice cream topping. Garnish as desired. Store in refrigerator.
